Experience.

Experience is often listed as a prerequisite for a job and it is a particularly important requirement for a judge. In my 31 years on the bench, and 34 years in the Missouri Bar, I have focused on the law while serving our community.

Seeing a need, I have worked to change the way Jefferson City’s court handles individuals with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and homelessness.

I have championed the efforts to provide community service opportunities, helped veterans get connected to the services they need and, as truancy judge, collaborated closely with the school district and juvenile office. I also work for justice on committees to review and improve practices and processes on appointment by the Missouri Supreme Court.

I will continue this service and experience working diligently in our courthouse.
